Governor Kasich and His Administration Should Enforce Private Contracts Now to Ensure that Home Health Aids Receive Payments
Home Health Care Aides Haven’t Been Paid for a Month or More Due to State Contracted Program
ProgressOhio and home health aides will hold a press conference this Wednesday in Cleveland to call on Governor Kasich to enforce provisions of contracts that would set up a fund to assist home health aides. These Home Health Aides have not been paid due to an issue with the My Care Ohio Project through managed care organizations that have been contracted through the Ohio Department of Medicaid.
Independent Providers in Ohio’s home care program have not been receiving their pay on time and in some cases they have not been receiving payment for up to two months.
ProgressOhio will discuss how these contracted managed care organizations through the Ohio Department of Medicaid is one more failed outsourcing attempt such as the state’s failed charter school efforts and Jobs Ohio.
